Hartwell Championship Round 2 McNamara Park Raceway, SA
The team arrived at Mt Gambier to compete in round 2 of the Hartwell Championship and it was all hands on deck with our new team member Emma De Rossi as excited as could be to compete at her first race weekend!
Tracey Track Davies was looking forward to getting back out at Mac Park not having cut a lap at the track in some time! After shaking off the cobwebs and working some magic on her race starts Tracey Track was able to put in a great Thunderbike performance and set a new PB of 1:19.6 but unfortunately a small spill on the Honda meant she could not improve this time in the last race and brought the Panigale home safely to end the weekend!
Emma had an amazing time improving with every lap and meeting a new nemesis in Shane White who had a blast in keeping up with Emma after her rocket launches, with a target in her sights Emma was able to crack under the 1:30 barrier on her first time ever to the track and on her first ever race weekend! Such a fantastic achievement!
We were very lucky to be set up with our good friend Sim Damyanova who had a great weekend on her old faithful r6 in preparation for some time on a new toy! Very excited to see what that will bring (we see some very quick laps ahead!). As always was so great to see many fellow female competitors doing some amazing things on the track.
The team is now looking forward to a visit to our favourite home track at Broadford MV State Motorcycle Sports Complex for the Womens only ride day March 2018 this weekend and hope to see all our friends and fellow racers there!
We give thanks to all those who support us and support the sport, helping us to SHARE THE PASSION with our friends and fellow racers!
We are so very proud to be part of the Throttle Gals Magazine Australia team and to wear our loud and proud Girl Rider gear that keep us safe on track, as tested this weekend by Tracey!
Thank you to Shannons for all that you do. Put our Flying Solo Gear Co. knee sliders to good use this weekend too.
