First practice done. Hard to ride when you cant breathe but who needs to breathe anyway :-D. Few changes to the bike as it wasn't feeling as good as Brands but Dad is on it. Just taking it easy and learning the track. So different to the KTM. Learning day today.
All strapped up and drugged up and ready to rock and roll.
Second practice completed and still really struggling. Plenty of rest now and roll on tomorrow. Hopfully feel a bit better.
Prep for qualifying is going well. Abbz feeling better than yesterday but still not great. Few changes to the bike thanks to Dad Wayne and John.
Qualifying went a lot better. Feeling more comfortable on the bike. We are a day behind so not quite up to speed but a positive move forward. First race at 3:50 and I can't wait.
Oh bugger! Race 1 and lost the front pushing through the pack. Lots of cleaning to do. On to tomorrow.
Cant thank John Thornley enough. He has helped me out soo much this weekend. Loving my bike and can't wait for my second race.
Home now after a very difficult weekend. Abbz not feeling great all weekend and in second race started from the back of the grid due to the previous day. "Start wasn't great but got past the first group but with a 10 second gap to the next and the heat taking what little strength I had I settled to bring the bike home. Due to a crash further up the field I managed to pick up a couple of points. Very disappointing weekend as I was really looking forward to Oulton but time to regroup, have some fun on my CRF and prepare for Knockhill."
Thank you to my team Four Anjels Racing, Wayne Vanhoeck, my Dad Steffan Thomas who worked so hard all weekend. Mum Emma Thomas for supplying me with all the drugs I needed to make me feel semi human. Big thank you to John Thornley and Pippa for giving up their time and coming to help me, I've learnt a lot. Can't wait to see you both again soon. Xx
I wouldn't be here without my sponsors. Thank you Stanair Industrial Door Services, 151s, Cool Milk, West End Diy- Corby, Memset, Gael Bretz plus all my friends and family that came to support me.
On to the next round.
