George [Honda NSF] dropped a valve in FP1, meaning a lot of work. The team is working effortlessly trying to get it sorted, we’re trying to save the brand new piston and head, both slightly damaged but nothing major... We’ve replaced the valve and put him together but it meant we missed FP2. We’re hugely down on track time only completing one lap today, and we’re about to send George over to the dyno to be ran in and tested to see if he’s okay for tomorrow.
Huge huge Thankyou to Ed, Amy and dad who are working endlessly to try and get it sorted, we wouldn’t do it without them! Also thanks to the guys at Wilson racing who sold us a valve and helped us fit it! But we will be out for qualifying and hopefully the down time won’t effect us and we can get back on it ASAP. I hope to fight this one back.
GO PINK RACING
Was difficult going straight into qualifying with no practise time and no set up. I did the best I could, but George has a slight misfire and the set up is slightly off, I have more to push I know I do so hopefully we can get a bit better in the race. Race is 3.50.
On route home from a BOILING Oulton Park... It’s safe to say I’m totally melted, and I will update you all later!
